How to Use Colloidal Silver: Overview & Dosage

Colloidal silver can be used two ways: a small daily amount as a dietary supplement, replenishing a trace mineral that is no longer found in our soils, or in larger short-term doses for targeted immune support when needed.

Which format for which job?

  • Liquid, taken by mouth, for daily or short-term immune support.
  • Topical support for the skin, great for minor cuts, burns, insect bites and breakouts: the pure Silver Spray or Gel, or with added botanical ingredients in our Skin Reset Spray and Colloidal Silver Cream.
  • The Nasal Spray offers easy, localised immune support for the nose; the Silver Spray can also be used to soothe the throat.
  • Drops for precise application to eyes, ears and nose.
  • The Silver Spray also doubles as an additive-free, non-sticky hand or surface sanitiser.

Always follow the recommended usage instructions on the product label.

Dosage information

Short-term dose (acute)

Colloidal silver is perfectly suitable for short-term use, i.e. to assist the body during an acute need for immune support.
Adults, as a powerful support: 30 ml, 1 to 3 times daily for 4 to 7 days. Children under the age of 12 can take half the adult dose.

Long-term dose (chronic)

Suitable for ongoing immune assistance, if needed:
Adults: 10 to 20 ml, 1 to 3 times daily until a difference is noticed, normally within 1 month. Children under the age of 12 can take half the adult dose.

A tip for better absorption

Swishing the liquid in the mouth for about 30 seconds before swallowing helps absorption. Due to its ionic state, the silver is transported via the blood to where it is needed in the body. Drinking plenty of pure water daily supports the process.
